The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber, Eng. Abdullah Al-Obeikan, praised the vital role played by the Khairat Association for the Preservation of Food in reducing food waste and enhancing the sustainability of food security in society, appreciating the efforts of those in charge of it, and stressing that it represents a role model in embodying Islamic values that urge the preservation of foods and non-extravagance, calling on businessmen to support the association’s programs and initiatives aimed at promoting social solidarity.

This came during his visit on the morning of (Saturday) 13/6/2026 to the headquarters of the Association in Al-Ardi neighbourhood, accompanied by the Director of Social Responsibility and Endowments, Mr. Khaled Al-Othman, within the framework of supporting the non-profit sector and reviewing the efforts of the association in the field of preserving food , in addition to discussing opportunities for building strategic partnerships, and harnessing the available potential to face the challenges facing the association.

He was received by the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the association, the members of the Council and the Chief Executive. During the introductory tour, Al-Obeikan was briefed on the operational laboratory of the association and its mechanism in preserving food , and listened to a detailed explanation of its programs and projects aimed at reducing food waste and meeting the needs of beneficiaries.

The two sides discussed ways of strategic cooperation and joint work to activate community impact, to serve qualitative initiatives and enhance the role of the non-profit sector, through the development of programs that include policies and targets that contribute to improving the quality of life, and raising the level of community awareness of the importance of preserving food and reducing food waste.

For his part, the CEO of the association, Mr. Abdullah Al-Subaie, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber and his companions, stressing that the visit embodies the importance of integration between the association and the Riyadh Chamber as an active partner in supporting and developing the association’s programs and projects, in order to achieve sustainable and tangible community results.
