Khiyrat Association for Saving Food was awarded second place in the Azwah Award for Community Participation under the category of nonprofit organizations, during the Azwah Ceremony and Award event organized by the Riyadh Region Municipality, under the patronage and attendance of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh.
This honor recognizes the association’s efforts in developing innovative and sustainable initiatives that contribute to preserving food, ensuring food security, and promoting a culture of community participation within the municipal sector. Khiyrat has successfully established itself as a pioneering model in charitable work through its innovative programs and effective partnerships with various entities.
Ms. Hessa Al-Shunaifi, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, expressed her pride in this achievement, emphasizing that the award serves as motivation to continue excellence in serving the community. She congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh and honorary president of the association, as well as his deputy, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, for the association’s accomplishment.
She stated “This win reflects the care, attention, and follow-up they dedicate to Khiyrat’s activities, programs, and charitable initiatives to preserve food blessings.” Meanwhile, Mr. Abdullah Al-Subaie, the Executive Director, highlighted that this recognition reflects the impact of the association’s initiatives and strengthens its position as a leading nonprofit organization.
