Khairat hosts executive leaders from the non-profit sector as part of the “Khutwat Athar” program

The Khairat Association for Food Preservation hosted a delegation of executive leaders from charitable associations across various regions of the Kingdom, as part of the “Khutwat Athar” program organized by the Council of Charitable Associations in the Madinah Region, in coordination with the Council of Charitable Associations in the Riyadh Region.

The program is based on visits by non-profit sector leaders in the region to a number of leading associations and institutions in Riyadh, aiming for extended empowerment and inspiring impact. The visit aimed to learn about the association’s experience in preserving surplus food and maximizing its community impact, and to benefit from its unique initiatives and programs in the non-profit sector.

The association received a delegation of (24) executive directors representing several charitable associations in the Kingdom. During the visit, they were briefed on the operational laboratory’s workflow, Khairat’s methodology in preserving, sorting, preparing, and distributing surplus food to beneficiaries according to quality and food safety standards, as well as learning about the most prominent initiatives and projects implemented by the association to achieve sustainability and enhance food security.

The visit included an introductory session during which the association presented its institutional experience and key operational practices, in addition to exchanging expertise and experiences in the fields of charitable work and sustainable development.

At the end of the visit, Khairat Association received an honor from the Council of Charitable Associations in the Madinah Region, in appreciation of its efforts and contributions in the field of food preservation and maximizing its community impact.
