Khairat Association for Preserving Foods recorded a remarkable presence in volunteer work during the first quarter of this year, with the number of volunteers reaching 270, who contributed a total of 4,270 volunteer hours, reflecting the growing culture of giving and social responsibility.
The economic return of these volunteer efforts amounted to 97,045.45 riyals according to the statistics of the Volunteer Work Platform, reflecting the significant positive impact contributed by volunteers in supporting the association’s work and enhancing the sustainability of its services.
The volunteers’ activities varied to include preparing meals inside the workshop, sorting vegetables and fruits, in addition to distributing meals to beneficiaries, in an integrated work system aimed at preserving foods , reducing food waste, and achieving social solidarity.
The CEO of the association, Abdullah Al-Subaie, confirmed that these figures reflect the commitment and sincerity of the volunteers in providing humanitarian giving and the spirit of cooperation enjoyed by community members, pointing out that the association continues to attract more volunteers and expand the scope of volunteer initiatives in the coming periods.
He pointed out that these volunteer initiatives are part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 programs, adding that “Khairat” welcomes all entities wishing to volunteer by participating in preparing and sorting meals inside the operational workshop, then distributing them to beneficiaries.
He explained that the association has the capacity and necessary capabilities to accommodate the number of volunteers and provides them with all facilities and services that ensure their comfort while performing their volunteer tasks.
